Contract Role for a Product Designer (No corp. to corp. or 3rd party)

Manager would like to see candidates local to NH/Boston or Seattle will be remote.

Hybrid of a Coder and Creative Designer
Must Have: React, Javascript and CSS.
Will be designing and internal system, must have experience designing a system

We’re looking for a Product Designer who is proficient working in both design and code, to join our Product Design team as a contractor. Under general direction, you will create user-centered design solutions for the customer experience that feature ease of use, employ best-in-class interaction design, clean and performant code, and optimize the user experience.

Key responsibilities:

• This role is primarily focused on the *** Design System.

• This role will be taking design feedback from other UX’ers working in the space

• This role will need to be able to work with remote members

• You will advocate for your customer, both internally, and externally

• Visual design: You will ensure that the look, feel, layout and interaction details of your products meet customer needs and deliver against business objectives. You will work with team leadership and external functions to ensure corporate communication and brand standards are met. Despite your outstanding design skills and your passion for every pixel, you let the user drive the evolution of your designs.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• Front-end development skills required (CSS/SCSS, HTML5, familiarity with JavaScript, React, and Git).
• Experience using methodologies such as Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Lean Startup.
• Demonstrated expertise in UX design, as well as familiarity with front-end development, prototyping, user research and/or test design.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of web graphics applications (including Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Solid understanding of information architecture, usability, and UX practices
• Experience with rapid prototyping using tools such as Axure or Invision
• Expertise in mobile and responsive web design
• Experience working with business and development teams in an agile environment
• Proven ability to present projects and status reports to Leads.
• Strong organization and analytic thinking skills, with ability to translate moderately complex content into user scenarios, flows and diagrams. Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
