Full-Time Product Cybersecurity Solutions Lead

Job Description


Accuray has an immediate opening for a Data Protection & Cybersecurity Solutions Strategist to support our, Sales Operations, Product Engineering & Marketing, Technical Services, and RQC functions. The role includes the effective review, processing and response of contractual terms and coordination of collateral data protection and cybersecurity assessment documentation in a time and deal sensitive environment.  The role will also be responsible for the funnel of an ongoing taxonomy of requirements along with solutions formulation that harmonize impacting regulations and customer expectations globally.   Critical to the role is the ability to develop strategies, short and long term, that enable the operationalization of data protection and cybersecurity practices throughout product and process lifecycles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as solution architect or lead by coordinating the review and timely delivery of collateral materials related to data protection/cybersecurity during and after tenders, sales transactions, service contract renewals, etc.
  • Manages and addresses customer and regulatory expectations/requirements of ongoing data protection/cybersecurity to harmonize with industry standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • In collaboration with Product Marketing, influences and supports longer term strategies for adoption and integration of requirements within R&D, Services, GIS.
  • Develops strategies to address immediate customer inquiries/responses for current data protection/cybersecurity practices, risk controls in product and service delivery.
  • In collaboration with relevant functions, produces informational material/white papers describing security features, controls and Accuray’s position related to MDS2, SBOM, product patching, product lifecycle, software, updates, patching, and vulnerability disclosures.
  • Participate with industry and standards setting bodies, in threat and regulatory intelligence analysis and influencing.


a. Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or equivalent post-secondary experience.
  • Ten years of experience in information systems compliance management design, implementation, or integration.
  • Previous experience in providing innovative technical security solutions in multi- customer environments to address IT department cybersecurity needs during product sales and service contract renewal negotiations.
  • Strong technical breadth and depth in support of the medical device markets and healthcare cybersecurity, data security, security intelligence.
  • Industry relationships with leading capabilities providers to enhance our solutions offerings and close gaps in offerings yielding competitive technical solutions.
  • Understands competitor/teammate technology offerings and has worked successful partnerships with suppliers on proposals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to travel 10%.

b. Preferred or Desired

  • Security certifications.
  • Experience managing internal and external customer needs and expectations.
