Full-Time Process Engineer – 200002VH

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Process Engineer to join our team specializing in hydrogen electrolysis systems technologies for our New Power Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Prepare and review of block flow diagrams (BFDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

* Perform calculations and optimize designs for complex subsystems and components.

* Documents and shares complete specifications and procedures for new products before launched into manufacturing.

* Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Manager on status of specific projects and assignments.

* Assists with the overall industrial process of the project, managing project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk.

* Works collaboratively with design engineers, manufacturing, and other internal staff to create cost efficient designs.

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Chemical/ Industrial)

* Minimum three to five years of experience in developing design and testing processes in a manufacturing environment.

* Prior hands on experience in:

+ Performing mass and energy balances for process design and analysis

+ Calculations for fluid transport systems including pressure regulation and losses through piping

+ Sizing, evaluation, and optimization of gas-liquid separators, pumps, compressors, fans, heat exchangers, control valves, and other equipment.

+ Skilled in the use of CAD tools including 2D drafting and intelligent P&ID software.

+ Familiarity with codes and standards applicable to industrial electrolysis and their related systems.
