Job Overview:

The Principal HR Business Partner forms effective working partnerships with the business and the HR department by developing, implementing, and maintaining processes and procedures to enhance Human Resources (HR) services and contribute to an employee-oriented and high- performance culture.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Provides strategic day to day operational HR advisory services to Departmental Management in all areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training, legal and governmental compliance, immigration and special projects
Proactively communicate with management and employees regarding benefits and employee information
Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee communications, and/or meetings, based on business needs.
Prepares reports as requested in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs.
Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.
Makes recommendations or decisions, which may have important impact on the organizations business.
Assignments are highly complex and require strong verbal and written communication, analytical and leadership skills. Prepares and makes presentations to management.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field
Must have at least 10 yrs experience.
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of human resources principles, practices and procedures.
Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with manager on unusual and employee performance matters.
Strong organizational skills including the ability to organize and maintain a fluid administrative process
May perform in a “supervisory” capacity.
Good time-management skills and ability to be self-motivated
High attention to integrity, ethics, and sensitivity, particularly regarding confidential information
Strong Interpersonal and teamwork skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
Ability to work in a dynamic environment
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
