HiTOPS, a non-profit organization dedicated to adolescent sexual health education and support, located in Princeton, NJ seeks a part-time Peer Leadership Coordinator

The Peer Leadership Coordinator assists the Senior Program Manager in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the HiTOPS Peer Leadership Program. The goal of the program is to increase awareness, access, and knowledge of sexual health-related issues among youth in the Mercer County area through peer-to-peer education.

Responsibilities:

Facilitating weekly meetings of 10 high school students; developing curricula; evaluating the program; maintaining communication with peer leaders, parents, schools, and community organizations; assisting in the coordination of an annual retreat and a final presentation event; recruiting and selecting students.

Requirements:

Demonstrated commitment to positive sexual health and youth development.

Minimum of 2 years experience facilitating groups of teens.

Must be knowledgeable and comfortable with adolescent sexual health-related issues; understand the importance of intersectional perspectives; comfortable working independently, creatively, and as an active team participant; representative of program participants (a person of color); ability to travel to Trenton and Princeton. Experience with peer education desirable.

The position is 8-10 hours per week and pays $30/hr.
