Job Description

Do you love working with students who are curious about psychology? Do you get excited about sharing how understanding psychology can enrich our lives? Clark College is currently seeking applicants for a part-time Psychology Instructor who understands psychology as it relates to power, privilege, and inequality. Courses include General Psychology and Lifespan Psychology. This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment to maintain a dynamic pool of candidates. Positions will be filled as program needs arise.  Lecture rate is $71.67/hour. We welcome applicants who work effectively and collaboratively with students and staff from diverse backgrounds and understand the importance of social equity. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Faculty Responsibilities

  • Instruct classes in General Psychology and/or Lifespan Psychology (Human Development) utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
  • Provide appropriate means to assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve educational goals.
  • Participate in relevant department assessment activities.
  • Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques.

 

QUALIFICATION:

  •  Master’s degree in psychology or related field.
