Job Description

Clark College is currently accepting applications for an hourly, part-time Program Assistant for the Disability Support Services Department. The hours for this position are variable depending upon the quarter; generally, the average hours worked per week are approximately 17 hours.

  • Editing alternate formatted textbooks/educational materials to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Proctoring exams for students with testing accommodations.
  • Work as a Sighted Aide in the classroom with a student with disabilities.
  • Compose correspondence to staff and instructors as needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.


  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
  • Vaccination requirement: Per Washington State Proclamation 21-14.1: college employees must be fully vaccinated no later than October 18, 2021. Your vaccine status will be validated by the Human Resources office. Requesting a medical or religious exemption would be done through the Human Resources office.

Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant’s suitability and competence to perform in the position.


Starting Salary: $16.08/hour
