Job Summary


Redstart Creative is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for 25 hours/week.  Under normal operating times, the hours will be worked 50% in office and 50% remotely.  At this time, the team is working 100% remotely.


The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing finance which includes A/P, A/R and payroll, and serve as the lead for team management administration as well as the development and oversight of all proposals.  This exempt position will work closely with Sr. Leadership and project teams. The Operations Manager will have excellent time management skills and a proven track record of setting and meeting ambitious goals in the creative design industry. Considerable managerial experience and the ability to allocate both human and material resources efficiently is required. This role acts in the best interest of Redstart Creative regarding working with outside associates, such as the HR consultant and retirement plan administrator. The Operations Manager will provide overall direction for client services, as well as leadership and guidance for the staff. This role manages all activities related to the operations and development of company products. Listed below are essential duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:


  • Provide input to the development of product strategy, and research and development of new and emerging products.
  • Develops budget and cost controls; oversees A/R & A/P; process payroll.
  • Provide guidance regarding personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, and facility and equipment needs.  This includes coordinating all printing projects with vendors.
  • Perform administrative activities associated with the effective management of company operations, including HR functions, overseeing retirement plan, recompiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.


To be the best fit for this job, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting. Advanced Excel is recommended.
  • Project management skills and team-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Stellar communication skills.
  • Experience in Freshbooks, Dropbox and Basecamp, preferred but not required.
