DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a talented North America Payroll Manager to join our team. The role can be on site or remote.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Manage to a payroll strategy and operating model, within the context of an evolving HR Shared Services model, and provide direction to the Payroll and Timekeeping Analysts for our US and Canadian employees.

* Drive appropriate consistent processes across US and Canada and coordinate efforts focused on global/regional process standardization.

* Analyze and make recommendations to existing technologies and supporting processes to drive continuous improvement and change initiatives.

* Own oversight of US and Canada payroll to ensure compliance with all corporate and country-specific policies and procedures as well as to support fiscal and regulatory compliance.

* Audit and provide oversight to the team’s daily processes to ensure compliance with internal and external controls and government standards.

* Implement and leverage technology that best fits our objectives

* Plan, manage and ensure execution of day to day payroll including certified payroll processes and expatriate payroll administration.

* Partner effectively with HR, IT, Finance, and other functions to ensure appropriate flow of data and reporting.

* Build partnerships and solicit feedback from internal and external business partners to define and develop successful, scalable processes and practices.

* Manage payroll vendor relationships, for countries in scope, and participate in activities to ensure strong partnership and mutual accountability.

* Manage payroll and timekeeping implementation activities in connection with existing business growth, and mergers, and acquisitions within the North America region

* Provide subject matter expertise, counsel, and support with respect to payroll related matters, existing and new payroll requirements as well as system integration and configuration requirements, by partnering with our technical team.

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.

* Strong knowledge of US and Canadian payroll regulations and labor laws.

* US and or Canadian Payroll certification a plus

* Minimum five to eight years of experience in a Payroll Leadership role.

* Experience with Payroll/Time & Attendance/HR ERP systems, preferably ADP Global View, Kronos/ADP eTime and Oracle HCM.

* Experience with in-house, large, multi-state payroll processing within a shared services environment utilizing case management tools for employee support

* Experience with more complex payroll processes like executive compensation, deferred compensation, equity plans and expatriate payroll
