Susan Matlack Jones & Associates is the go-to firm in the Portland metro area for bookkeeping services for nonprofits. We work with over 120 organizations in Oregon and Washington, providing them financial statements for their use in managing their resources.

 What You’ll Do

  • Daily accounts payable and accounts receivable data entry
  • Organize and complete daily check runs for clients
  • Assist accountants with various monthly accounting tasks
  • Perform general receptionist tasks, including answering phones, greeting guests, coordinating deliveries, opening and closing the office
  • Prepare and distribute 1099s annually
  • Assist with special projects, as assigned

Your Experience and Education

  • You have at least 2 years professional office experience, preferably as an administrative assistant and/or in accounts payable.
  • You have time management skills and are self-directed in managing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • You can effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, to a variety of audiences.
  • You are adaptable, willing to flex to meet the needs of a diverse base of organizations.
  • You are proficient at ten key and keyboard skills and have solid expertise in various accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation and Benefits
