Job Description: Multimedia Content Producer

 

MiracleFeet is a global nonprofit working to eliminate a leading cause of physical disability worldwide. Over two million children live with the severe consequences of a treatable birth defect known as clubfoot, and 175,000 more babies are born with it every year. Thanks to a non-surgical solution called the Ponseti Method, 95% of cases can be fully treated for less than $500. MiracleFeet has scaled this proven, low-cost treatment to 29 countries where children previously had limited or no access to care.

 

Summary

 

The Multimedia Content Producer will design a variety of digital and print communications to reach MiracleFeet’s existing and potential audiences. This person will help produce and plan impactful and topical content to tell MiracleFeet’s story and drive engagement. If you are a storyteller and visual thinker interested in making a difference, we want to meet you.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong aesthetic instincts for multimedia communications, digital layouts and publishing, and an eye for detail—with a passion for visual storytelling and proven ability to produce and execute exceptional content across websites and social media platforms.

The Multimedia Content Producer will plan and create digital and print content, produce email campaigns, web stories, short videos and animated posts, presentations, marketing materials and more, and will be an active contributor to editorial planning.

This is a full-time, exempt position based out of MiracleFeet’s Chapel Hill office (begins virtually). The Multimedia Content Producer will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications.

 

Essential Functions

 

Digital content creation

  • Bring MiracleFeet’s mission and impact to life through inspiring use of visual assets and equally strong instincts for great copy. A strong candidate will be a talented visual storyteller and a strong writer.
  • Produce digital content for MiracleFeet’s website and social media accounts (infographics, slideshows, short videos, etc.). Develop and execute multimedia campaigns for key days, themes, and priority topics. Solicit and curate facts, perspectives, and visual assets that bring editorial ideas to life.
  • Produce email campaigns soliciting content from internal sources, and manage review, testing, and sending. Manage email list segmentation, A/B campaigns, and other email targeting tactics.
  • Edit/assemble growing collection of professional video footage and photography into short digital stories, posts, or appeals using Adobe Creative, Promo, and other video marketing tools.
  • Publish digital content on miraclefeet.org with a focus on creating engaging, visually appealing webpages that leverage website capabilities (e.g., multimedia options and dynamic WordPress blocks), and provide an immersive experience for donors and visitors. Manage posting to ensure content is on-brand and search- and social-optimized. Keep content current (i.e., list of countries, clinics, patients, etc.).
  • Create landing pages for key tools, initiatives, and campaigns; lead process for curating and producing content on these pages.

 

 

Social Media

  • Create custom graphics, videos, and color corrected photos for use on social media channels.
  • Contribute to social media content production, calendar, and overall strategy. Backstop MiracleFeet’s social media accounts with day-to-day posting and engagement.
  • Curate content for MiracleFeet’s different audiences on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter. Write, edit, and proof posts and coordinate accompanying visual media (photos, videos, infographics, etc.).
  • Gather insights to inform future campaigns and communications/engagement strategies. Develop and execute strategies to grow social media followings and engagement on different platforms for multiple projects/campaigns including tracking engagement/metrics.
  • Participate in community management across social media platforms for multiple projects.
  • Stay abreast of best practices and emerging social media strategies.
  • Help evolve the voice of MiracleFeet’s brand on social and help position clubfoot in the global health conversation. Seek regular opportunities to engage with MiracleFeet partners, major foundations, corporate donors, and other organizations on social media and curate up-to-date lists of key accounts.
  • Monitor news and social media for relevant articles and information around clubfoot, disability services, children’s health and safety, etc., and actively share relevant content with marketing team. Pursue new angles, stories, and coverage of MiracleFeet’s work.

 

Other multimedia

  • Develop materials for conferences, board meetings, presentations, corporate sponsorship pitches, etc.
  • Create and update marketing materials and documents in support of fundraising, donor stewardship, and programs initiatives.
  • Create graphs, charts, data visualizations, etc. for variety of uses and audiences.

  • Have an in-depth understanding of social media platforms, tools, and knowledge of current and emerging online trends
  • Be a creative, self-starter, and a data-driven strategic thinker

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA in Journalism, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 4+ years’ experience in multimedia communications/marketing
  • Proficiency in Adobe applications, Microsoft Office, and video editing software
  • Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Professional background in global health and development or related field preferred
  • Experience using social media in a professional setting with knowledge of best practices for publishing on different platforms (especially Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn)
  • Demonstrated and documented ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Maintains a working knowledge of SEO principles
  • Have excellent judgment and be able to work in a changing environment
  • Ability to manage time, deliverables, and meet deadlines
  • Fluency in French and/or Spanish is a plus
