As a Mid-Level Frontend Engineer for Growth & internal tools,  you will join an amazing team of like-minded engineers who are passionate about creating the stickiest product features that will leave our customers coming back for more! We build our software with best industry standard tools and practices to create a consistent experience both internally and externally. We build the apps that are mission critical to over 4,000 construction companies, managing over a million projects and nearly a million end users who use Fieldwire everyday to save their team time and energy. Fieldwire is an application in the B2B space where customers pay to use the app and expect the highest quality experience and availability.

What you’ll be doing?

Fieldwire is rapidly growing, and our customers are increasing in number and in geographical locations. Fieldwire is in the midst of a strategic international expansion, with multiple new countries in which to enable sales in the coming year. The strategic Go-to-market team needs to build key applications to drive the growth of Fieldwire: both externally with its client-facing marketing website, and internally with analytics to drive decision making at the company’s executive strategy level.

Here is a sample of the kind of challenges you will solve:

  • Developing and fine-tuning a compelling client-facing website with top quality user experience
  • Building experiments to drive revenue, customer acquisition, retention, and/or engagement
  • Collaborating with business strategy, marketing, and product teams to implement growth initiatives
  • Picking up new frameworks/tools to build quickly while being mindful of technical debt.
  • Testing and measuring the impact of experiments in a data-driven and iterative environment.
  • Contributing to the configuration and management of third-party vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain our customer facing website
  • Debug production issues working closely with our support teams
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

Desired Skills & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or equivalent work experience
  • Experience building responsive layouts using HTML and CSS
  • Strong UX and design sense
  • Expert at writing clean, well-tested, and modular code

  • Experience using Content Management Systems (Contentful, etc.)
  • Client-side JavaScript experience
  • Exposure to Bootstrap and CSS preprocessors like LESS/SASS
  • Familiarity working with complex and data-intensive single page apps
  • Experience with observability, analytics, and reporting solutions

Where is the job located?

This role is fully remote within the US. Our headquarters is based in the beautiful city of San Francisco, CA. Our office is located right off of Montgomery Bart station. Easily accessible by all forms of public transportation.
