We are a positive lifestyle brand that focuses on offering affordable, plastic-free alternatives to everyday products. We want to change the way people consume their daily products and encourage people to believe in the power they hold with their purchases. We want to empower and inspire people to make more conscious choices.

The Earthling Co. is searching for a mission driven, enthusiastic, dedicated and exceptional Media Buyer focused initially on Facebook to join our marketing team. For this role, we’re searching for someone who can manage paid Facebook campaigns, maintain current ROAS targets, develop robust testing strategies for ad creative, and identify new audiences or channels that allow us to scale spend.

This is a temporary full time role that will be evaluated after 60-90 days to determine regular full time status. We are a completely distributed workforce and open to candidates anywhere in the United States.

  • Take complete ownership of our Facebook Ads account. Define and take action on testing new creative, audience targeting, bidding strategies, and account structure.
  • Data analysis and research to determine appropriate media mixes, target audience recommendations, competitive analysis, geotargeting strategies and budget projections.
  • Continually observe ad performance and adjust or refresh copy, content and media as needed in collaboration with our graphic designer to deliver on this task.
  • Write on brand, conversion-oriented ad copy; create briefs for image/graphic/video ad creation for graphic designer / video editor.
  • Create testing strategy and schedule for creative, targeting, bidding and budgeting strategies. Diligently track and document test results along with insights for future campaigns.
  • Stay active in our ad account every day, cutting low performing ads / ad sets / campaigns.
  • Run weekly funnel and landing page experiments aimed at increasing ROAS and conversion rates.
  • Maintain a well structured account with clean naming conventions.
  • Keep up on leading edge execution of paid media and new developments and trends on paid media strategy, especially in Facebook.
  • Create and maintain a weekly reporting dashboard; provide consistent updates to the team about account health.
  • Run competitive analysis on other brands in the sustainability, zero waste, and beauty/hair space to see what ads are converting for them and how we can incorporate learnings/insights from their successes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent related experience, but not less than 4-5 of years in paid advertising including expert level experience using Facebook Ads for DTC companies.
  • Strong background in direct response advertising with an emphasis on conversion optimization.
  • Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects and ongoing work items while effectively managing changing priorities.
  • Superior copywriting and creative content skills; ability to effectively communicate creative ideas to partners such as a graphic designer or video editor.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within the marketing team and cross functionally.
  • Innovative and creative thinker with a high level of curiosity to test new concepts and ad platforms.
  • Knowledge of syndicated media, research and other data resources (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • A consummate negotiator who looks out for the best interest of the company.
  • A ‘no task is too small or too large’ type of attitude.
  • Experience in DTC eCommerce & CPG companies is a plus.
  • Interest in and knowledge of sustainability and the zero waste movement.

We offer flexible hours, remote working and believe that taking time off is crucial for productive output. Here are some of the things we offer temporary team members:

  • 7 Observed Holidays
  • 6 Sick Days

  • Flexible work schedule

  • Favor progress over perfection. Committed to continuous improvement, learning with each step, and transparency through it all.
  • Seek harmony taking into consideration our impact on human, natural and social capital. We strive for healthy balances in everything we do and commit to utilizing resources and information in becoming a more responsible and sustainable company.
  • Empower earthlings through social media channels, our products, or giving back to local and global communities. We have our fellow Earthlings top of mind.
