Full-Time Marketing Manager

Job Description

Athletes Unlimited is a new model of pro sports where athletes are decision-makers and individual players are champions of team sports. We literally change the game with faster play, and a new draft and team rosters every week, delivering next-level competition and engagement in which every moment counts. With women’s softball, volleyball and lacrosse as part of the roster and with basketball to launch in 2022, Athletes Unlimited will build the next generation of both athletes and fans.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution and general support of multiple marketing activities for Athletes Unlimited, including coordination of external messaging with marketing partners, digital asset creation, promo copy writing, attending select grassroots events, and general upkeep of internal marketing communication documents. This role is full-time, remote, and reports to the Senior Director, Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in regular communication with marketing partners, media partnerships, sports information directors, and others to facilitate the execution of external messaging through partner channels including social media, emails, websites, etc.
  • Work with the content and creative team to gather and create digital assets and write copy for distribution by partners, players, influencers, and others through their digital channels
  • Write marketing related promotional copy and schedule for broadcasts
  • Coordinate the delivery of TV spots for media buys and broadcast partners
  • Research potential grassroots partners and events to evaluate opportunities
  • Represent Athletes Unlimited at select grassroots events and games (travel required)
  • Assist coordination of the creation of marketing promotional items, banners, and collateral
  • Reporting on campaign effectiveness including putting together recaps, collecting and uploading leads, measuring activities against established KPI’s, etc.
  • Work with Sr. Director, Marketing to produce marketing calendars, plans, execution tracking, and other internal marketing documents
  • General marketing support duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Undergraduate college degree and a minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep knowledge, understanding and experience using digital platforms and social media including creating and editing content, copy, graphics, and video
  • Solid computer skills including GSuite, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
  • Collaborative and flexible working style with the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and complete multiple tasks
  • Ability to manage partner relationships in an attentive and professional manner
  • Ability to interact and communicate with customers in a face-to-face environment
  • Willingness to travel to season and event locations as needed
  • Previous experience or knowledge of sports is preferred
