Job Description

Davines North America is looking for a Marketing intern with strong potential to evolve into a permanent role. This is a great opportunity to gain practical brand marketing experience within a global beauty brand with exposure to many aspects of the business for both distribution to professional salons and direct to consumer.


Internship is paid ($15/h). Applicants may be recent grads, and for those currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, college credit is offered. The internship requires a minimum of 16 hours per week but more hours may be available. A flexible schedule can be negotiated, but consistent support is essential.


Position is based in NYC and in-office presence is expected in 2021 post-pandemic, with potential to transition role to a full-time position. Until then, position will be 100% remote and company laptop will be supplied.

TITLE:                          MARKETING INTERN at Davines North America




Basic Functions:


The Marketing Intern will be supporting the Davines Marketing team, working closely alongside the Marketing Director and Manager in the implementation of all marketing activities, working closely to increase brand awareness, drive sales, and support our professional salon network.




  • Assist in promotional/launch activities for our distributors to grow our sales, strengthen customer relationships and support sell out, primarily in salons but also for direct accounts
  • Support with data and analytics to strengthen sales and guide purchasing decisions
  • Design, update and produce marketing, education and selling materials for print and digital use as well as overall branding pieces for print and digital use
  • Administrative tasks




  • Great organizational skills, including prioritization and time management, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines independently
  • Ability to think and act strategically and tactically
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to summarize and communicate important data, with comfort level in data entry, manipulation & analysis
  • Strong attention to detail with accuracy and consistency is crucial
  • Ability to grasp & interpret visual communication, design and overall brand image
  • Ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of people
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written English. Multi-lingual is a plus




  • Interns must be college juniors or above with a minimum 3.0 grade point average (and 6-month minimum commitment). Recent grads will also be considered.
  • Applicants should have excellent communications and critical thinking skills and be able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • While a strong interest in marketing is a must, our internship is not exclusive to marketing majors
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter; capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is a strong plus
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels within the organization; act as a team player
  • A natural interest in sustainability, global culture and lifestyle is a strong plus
