MIT Solve seeks a Marketing Coordinator to support our Marketing and Communications team in increasing awareness of the Solve mission and impact. The primary responsibilities of the position are to support Solve’s Marketing and Communications team in a variety of projects, with a focus on data-driven content creation across all of our platforms, to help further build and engage Solve’s diverse community of impact leaders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute and assist in shaping digital campaigns that strategically engage Solve’s diverse constituency.
- Manage and grow Solve’s social media accounts to reach more innovators, prospects, and social impact enthusiasts, and broaden Solve’s reach. Includes social moderation and tracking across all platforms.
- Schedule all content (social, email, articles) within Hubspot.
- Generate original content for both organization newsletters—CrowdSolve and The Marketplace
- Provide input into challenge promotion communications and process with Global Challenges team leads and the Digital Marketing Manager
- Liaise with the Director of Marketing & Communications for brand usage and trademark oversight, in partnership with MIT IOC
- Work with the Events team on speaker research, outreach, and communications
- Write comprehensive communications and marketing for events, including marketing emails, social media posts, ads, and speaker toolkits, to help drive registration, attain new audiences, and raise awareness pre-, post-, and during events.
- Track, analyze, and report on data across marketing and communications, and recommends improvements on content continually.
- Ensures Solve’s website updated with for articles, events, job postings, and other content-related edits and updates.
- Leads and/or participates in ad-hoc projects, as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience, including in fields relevant to the position
- Able to plan work efficiently to meet deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible, able to work independently, and take initiative
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Keen interest in social impact and innovation.
- Strong writing skills with a laser focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Project management training or experience
Benefits
The minimum salary for this position is $60,000, with a final offer based on experience and equity considerations. This is a full-time position. Solve team members are expected to spend four weeks a year in Solve’s Cambridge offices, plus a week during the first month for onboarding.
