Internship Marketing and Communications Intern

CenterCentre-UIE – Posted by CenterCentre-UIE Anywhere

Job Description

Marketing and Communications – Remote, Paid, Six-Month Internship

You could be our next six-month intern. We’re looking for someone to drive our marketing and communications efforts. This is a perfect job for anyone who is looking for their first marketing position. Career changers and non-traditional students are welcome to apply!

During this paid internship, you’ll handle a large number of business-critical responsibilities. You’ll manage our marketing and support for our primary marketing event: Our online Leaders of Awesomeness community’s Intensives. We use these events to identify and drive business to our revenue-producing programs. They are essential to the business.

You’ll set up, support, and execute the marketing for our online Intensives that attract thousands of attendees. You’ll implement our daily marketing initiatives. You’ll apply your strong writing and editing skills to craft our marketing copy, including the creation of campaigns.

We’re a leader in user experience design, and everyone expects our communications to model best practices. We have cultivated an email audience list of 50,000 subscribers and 280,000 social media followers. Your keen eye for detail and diligence in getting things just right will make us (and you) look great. (This ability of yours is something your future employers will love.)

We will set you up for success. We will have frequent meetings on how to document the work you’ve done, so you can apply it to your résumé. We’ll help you work on your future job search, so when your six months with us is over, you’re ready to jump into your next big thing.

From day one, your input and ideas will be valued. You’ll participate in marketing and design meetings.

That’s just the first three months

You’ll be busy mastering every facet of our marketing production for the first three months. However, it’s the second half of the six-month internship where things really take off.

We’ll work with you to identify a project that furthers our marketing efforts. These efforts are to help you learn the skills you need to be successful at your next job. You’ll also work with us to document this project, other projects, processes, checklists, and tasks.

You’ll take this project from definition through delivery. And, when your six months are up, you can share with every potential employer how you made this happen. Your accomplishments will go into your résumé or portfolio. That’s our thank you for the great work you’ve done.

This is a launching pad for your marketing career

You’ll see how our business runs. You’ll help us identify new marketing opportunities, craft copy and graphics, and launch and support the entirety of our campaigns.

You’ll learn about the hiring process because we’ll want to bring in our next intern, who will take over for your position. You’ll teach that new intern what you’ve learned (and you’ll learn new things in the process of teaching).

When you’re ready to find your next job, you can proudly talk about everything you’ve learned and how quickly you picked it up. Smart hiring managers are looking for fast learners.

This is a real, paying job

You’ll be an integral part of the team. And we’ll pay you a working wage for it. We provide you with a laptop and the software you need to do your work.

It’s a remote position, so you can be anywhere. However, we conduct our work from 8:30am to 5pm Eastern Time in the U.S. You need to be working those hours to meet our deadlines and quick-turnaround assignments. Because this position is full-time, we can’t consider you if you’re a full-time student. We’ll consider you if you’re a part-time student and available during our dedicated work hours.

You do need to be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have U.S. employment approval. And, because this is a temporary position, we can’t offer any full-time benefits, like healthcare. However, we do pay a decent hourly rate.

Want this Internship? We need to talk.

We want to hire several new interns over the next few months.

Our interview process involves meeting with several members on our team. During these meetings, we’ll ask a lot of questions about what you’ve learned and how you learned it. After all, this is a learning job, and you have to be good at learning new things.

There are no “gotcha” questions or on-the-spot exercises. We care about your skills. We may ask you to do a small sample project just so we can see how you tackle challenges. (We’ll only do that after we’ve gotten to know each other a bit, so you can decide whether it’s worth your efforts.)

We’re ready to meet you. Are you ready to meet us?

Apply below, and we’ll get back to you quickly. If you’re what we’re looking for, we’ll hop on a call and start the process.

How does that sound?
