Would you like to save and change lives by being the first responder during emergencies, accidents, incidents, and behavioral concerns in the facility? As the Manager on Duty, you will oversee branch operations and administration by ensuring staff and members are in compliance with all YMCA policies and practices, supervising branch staff, and responding to emergencies and member incidents.

At the Y, you have the opportunity to change the lives of those in your community. As a Manager on Duty, you have the opportunity to build relationships with members.

If hired for this position you will walk through the entire facility on an ongoing basis to ensure safety guidelines and cleanliness standards are maintained and member’s needs are being met. Open and/or close the facility following proper procedures. You will support staff by providing breaks and assist staff as needed, support the Membership desk and Welcome Center, and respond to facility maintenance needs in an appropriate manner.

Are you a good fit?

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Positive attitude and previous experience with and diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated maturity, sound judgment and decision making skills.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience, especially in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity is preferred.
  • Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, Oxygen and YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguarding certifications.
  • Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.

 

Starting Wage: $16.13+ per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours:  Part Time – Up to 25 hours per week
