Position Purpose

This position is responsible for developing and managing virtual and in-person events and programs designed to achieve Evergreen’s strategic fundraising goals and strengthen relationships with internal and external audiences. The incumbent oversees an events program with outcomes fostering lifelong relationships with a diverse constituency on behalf of the College and The Evergreen State College Foundation.

 

This position collaborates with senior leaders in Advancement, the President’s Office, alumni, donors, friends, volunteers, Advancement staff, and units across campus employing industry best practices in utilizing events and other tactics as cultivation opportunities to meet fundraising and engagement goals. This position is responsible for leading, planning, implementing, and assessing events from inception to completion, ensuring an excellent, inclusive guest experience and campus partner satisfaction.

 

This is a full-time, overtime-exempt, project position on the Olympia Campus of The Evergreen State College. The project position is funded through June 30, 2024 and is an “at-will” appointment, exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules and the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.

 

Salary and Benefits: $4,548 – $5,913 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
