Full-Time Manager, New Stores & Inventory Operations

Job Description

Warby Parker’s Retail Operations team is on the lookout for a collaborative, energetic, and proactive Manager to lead new store operations and inventory management. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Retail Operations, this person will build and manage efficient processes that will support the planning and execution of new store launches to ensure sustainable growth for the future. What you’ll do:

  • Develop and lead a team to project manage our ever-expanding retail footprint
  • Plan and execute new store openings with HQ partners and vendors to ensure all necessary product inventory, visuals, artwork, FF&E (fixtures, furniture, and equipment), hardware, and supplies are ordered, delivered, and properly installed
  • Provide input to the Store Design and Construction team on eye exam store layouts and design details to ensure that all our operational requirements are met
  • Partner with Inventory Management and Product Strategy teams for cycle count accuracy and back-of-house improvements
  • Lead our biannual physical inventory process in partnership with Inventory Management and ensure the store teams have everything they need to do an excellent job
  • Own our monthly store audit program and lead our target store program with our Loss Prevention partners

Who you are:

  • Backed by 4+ years of corporate retail operations experience (bonus points for store management)
  • Experienced with opening new stores for a fast-growing retailer (extra credit if you’ve led a team responsible for doing so!)
  • A razor-sharp problem-solver with the confidence required to recommend and make decisions
  • Able to manage and improve budgets and timelines
  • An excellent communicator who has experience collaborating with both key internal and external stakeholders
  • An organizational powerhouse who’s able to prioritize tasks and manage time with excellent attention to detail
  • Available evening and weekends on an as-needed basis for special project rollouts
  • Willing to travel (as needed)
