Full-Time Manager, Compliance Learning & Communications

Job Description

Univision’s Compliance program is dedicated to promoting an organizational culture of ethical business conduct and a commitment to compliance with the law. In this highly visible Company-wide role, the Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and rollout of customized and targeted compliance learning and communication initiatives, as well as special compliance program projects. In particular, the Manager  will develop, plan and execute on a compliance learning and communications strategy, develop highly creative, customized learning content and communications, and develop and maintain a tailored Company-wide learning and communications plan and calendar that focuses on the entire Company and its discrete compliance risk populations. The Manager will also be responsible for special projects that further the compliance program’s effectiveness across the company.

Job Responsibilities:

The Manager will report to the Co-Heads of Compliance and will work in close collaboration with other colleagues across the Company. The Manager will be based in Teaneck, NJ, and will engage in a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

  • Compliance Learning and Communications Strategy: Support the development of a comprehensive corporate compliance training program and communication strategy and execute on an annual plan for relevant employee populations throughout the Company. Prepare and manage a learning and communications calendar.  Assist in the preparation of reports on key performance indicators for the Corporate Compliance Committee, Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, and other members of senior management.
  • Compliance Communications: Draft and launch periodic and tailored communications about compliance risk topics and compliance trainings offered.
  • Learning and Communications Administration: Schedule and structure compliance training campaigns for defined audiences and integrate training content on the Workday learning management system (“LMS”). Ensure compliance training participation is accurately recorded in the LMS. Run reports and assist in follow-up for successful completion of required trainings.
  • Website Development and Maintenance: Load approved content and maintain the Compliance Department’s page on Univision’s intranet. Work with colleagues across functions and external vendors to ensure the compliance site and Policy Library is regularly updated.
  • Policy Review Management: Track, calendar and help manage a policy update/revision schedule, including regular policy reviews by internal stakeholders, and a policy distribution and certification process through the Workday LMS.
  • Special projects and other assignments, as needed to support the department’s objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating as a member of compliance, legal, or HR function in a corporate environment, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of and at least 2 years of experience working with Learning Management Systems, preferably Workday, and demonstrated progression of learning new technology, systems and programs used within a Compliance department.
  • Demonstrated Project Management Skills and experience executing enterprise-wide projects
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Excel

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience working in a learning/training role
  • Demonstrated track record of working with vendors on customized training solutions
  • Knowledge of existing and new training/learning platforms, methods and management systems
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills; experience developing presentations for a sr. leadership audience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence; effective at interacting and building relationships at all levels within a matrixed organization
  • Critical thinker who is creative, resourceful and flexible in approach
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; skilled at prioritizing
  • Effective at managing confidential matters in a highly discrete and sensitive manner
  • Knowledge of compliance risks within the Media industry
  • CEEP certified or equivalent compliance certifications, a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, a plus
  • Website design and management experience, a plus
  • Media production experience, a plus
  • Fluent in Spanish (speak/read/write), strongly preferred

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work from offices in Teaneck, NJ
  • Employment/education will be verified
  • Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time, if needed
