Main Grade Lecturer – Games Development

Fixed Term Contract until 30/06/16

Salary – £23,985 – £30,309 (Qualified)

An exciting opportunity for a dedicated and strategic Main Grade Lecturer – Games

Development has arisen in one of the country’s largest Colleges. With a turnover of

£65m annually, the College Group services c.22,000 learners each year from a

diverse variety of backgrounds. With state-of-the-art facilities, Beacon status, Gold

Investors in People status and an excellent purpose-built estate across the city, the

College is home to ground breaking innovation and involved in a wide variety of

exciting new developments across the city and the wider educational landscape.

You will be required to teach Games Development courses up from Level 3 up to

Level 5 (HND). To create effective and stimulating opportunities for all students

through high quality teaching, learning and assessment that enables progression

and development. You will also be required to deliver advanced level units using

traditional and digital concept art and matte painting (Photoshop), character

modelling and environment modelling, using Maya and UDK3/UE4.

The successful applicant must be Educated to Level 4, e.g. Degree or equivalent in

relevant subject area and have a recognised Teaching qualification or vocational

experience. A good knowledge and understanding of the current games industry is

required to be able to deliver theoretical units linking theory to industry working
