Job Description

Summary

The Localization Specialist is the primary coordinator of corporate localization and translation services and processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows established processes and standards.
  • Ensures the quality and accuracy of localization and related processes.
  • Complies with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinates information for multiple projects.
  • Ensures documentation localization is completed per project schedules.
  • Contributes to team standards, including: style guides, vocabularies, process improvements, information models, document design, content and reuse plans, annotated topic lists, etc.
  • Ensures safety issues related to the use of Accuray products are researched and addressed.

Qualifications:

a. Required

  • 3-5 years of experience localizing technical documentation.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage many translation and review project in different states of completion simultaneously.
  • Aptitude to quickly learn complex technology and software applications.
  • Ability to work independently with some guidance, follow instructions, and update the team on progress; proactively ask questions, raise issues, and follow up to resolve them.
  • Experience with SDL Trados, XTM, XLIFF as well as XML based content workflows
  • Experience with improving SOPs and WIs in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with supplier business transactions, bid/quoting, file transfers, 3rd party Q/A, invoicing, etc.
  • Proficient use of common Microsoft Office applications.

b. Preferred or Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience as a translator and possesses multilingual competencies in a technical setting.
  • Experience with complex Capital Medical Devices.
  • Experience with ISO 17100 and other relevant Localization QA processes/standards

To qualify for this position, candidates must be able to furnish proof that they are authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
