Full-Time Leasing Specialist

Job Description

Connor & Gallagher OneSource, on behalf of Steele Strategies (STEELE) is currently seeking a full-time Leasing Specialist to join our team. STEELE integrates real estate, technology, culture, and people management practices and processes to drive efficiency, engagement, collaboration, and innovation for our clients. This position will report to the Director of our Facilities & Design Division, will be client facing.

Our desired candidate will reside in either Washington, DC (within 2-hour commute) or Indianapolis, IN. As a Leasing Specialist you will operate as a federal agency representative to GSA and as an onsite project manager, responsible for managing leased building(s) inventory and administering GSA lease contracts for assigned buildings. Currently the position is fully remote however, at some point, there may be a requirement to work 1-2 days at the client site.


  • Review existing GSA lease agreements, direct lease agreements, Memoranda of Agreement/Understanding (MOA/MOU), Inter-Agency Agreements (IAA) and other relevant documents.
  • Gather and organize all leases, MOU/MOA, IAA and management related documents and artifacts for all PMO real property assets.
  • Manage the data within TRIRIGA (client’s database) to ensure rent payments occur as required by the lease documentation.
  • Assist in the management, control, coordination, and execution of projects involving complex and long-term leasing, space acquisition, and/or construction management.
  • Support all PMO project emergent requirements, which may include providing acquisition program management consulting and analysis as required; Assist Program Managers in managing and coordinating acquisition activities.
  • Serve as the primary customer agency advocate and first GSA point of contact with client agency personnel in designated buildings within the GSA inventory.
  • Operate as a liaison between the tenant and the lessor for diverse facilities management issues and agency requests for changes to operations, building standards or similar issues.
  • Provide contract administration and lease management services to ensure that lessors comply with the scope, terms, and conditions of leases.




  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or bachelor’s degree with related work experience, required.
  • 3-10 years of demonstrated leasing experience with GSA-related or commercial leasing.
  • 3+ years of working on consulting projects and within collaborative teams.
  • Experience working with federal government clients a plus.
  • Undergo and pass a background investigation.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and must meet federal clearance eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.
  • Located within a 2-hour commute from Washington, DC or Indianapolis, IN. Client may require position to be onsite.
  • Per Executive Order (E0 14042) proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to your start date.
