Full-Time Lead Azure DevOps Administrator – Remote

LOCATION: This role is 100% remote eligible in the United States.

JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the health, availability, maintenance and optimization of Azure DevOps across the enterprise. Works collaboratively with software engineering and deployment teams to support ADO best practices. Keeps a vigilant eye on Black Knight’s systems ca pacity and performance.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administers ADO for deployment, monitoring and operations as well as troubleshoots and resolves issues.
  • Assists in defining automated monitoring, deployment and repair strategies using a wide variety of Ops tools and monitoring platforms
  • Mentors teams to assist with improving their processes.
  • Makes sure build and deployment processes are following known best practices.
  • Assists with the management and performance of the infrastructure and deployment of development tools for applications.
  • Evaluates third party software tools and libraries for enterprise needs with risk management.
  • Diagnoses, isolates, and debugs application problems and performs problem resolution.
  • Monitors systems capacity and performance to allow for scaling of high performance as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience with Azure DevOps Services (ADO) required
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps Service (ADO), Team Foundation Server (TFS), Jenkins, Artifactory or other similar tools
  • Experience developing or supporting software applications and build tools
  • Experience working in an environment that utilizes CI/CD processes a plus
  • Knowledge of source code control tools such as Git (GitLab, GitHub, BitBucket)
  • Experience with scripting and development languages such as Python, Java, C#, Powershell, etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile best practices a plus
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop partnership-oriented relationships with business executives and functional leaders, especially as it relates to operations and technology
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within the enterprise or outside the organization (executives, regulators, clients, etc.)
  • Results oriented, business focused, and successful at interfacing across multiple organizational units

DevOps Engineer IV

Lead/expert level role. Serves as a lead for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing and maintenance of operating systems software that is significant or strategic to the enterprise. Works on varied, highly complex tasks, projects, activities, or support issues that require expertise in multiple technical environments, specific business area(s) and multiple significant or strategic products/systems. Recognized as an expert internally and often provides strategic direction, guidance and integration of products and services. Develops solutions requiring analysis and research. Works on multiple projects, products, and activities as a project team member or often as a project leader or subject matter expert. May coach and/or mentor more junior technical staff. Typically requires eight (8) years of experience in systems administration or engineering and development.

Although target pay range may va ry by work location, a representative pay range is $135,000 to $155,000. Eligible to participate in medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance and disability insurance, 401(k) plan and employee stock purchase plan. Eligible to participate in the discretionary annual performance bonus.
