Full-Time Lead Applications Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Lead Applications Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Turbo Technology Unit in Columbus, IN/ home office. (Hybrid)

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Serves as the technical liaison between OEMs and represents our customers during the new product development programs

* Obtains input and negotiates with subject matter experts and value package introduction teams and delivers product data and installation requirements to application engineers and OEMs.

* Developing relationships with key customer stakeholders and providing on-site support of critical engine integration activities.

* Makes decisions in the areas of product selection, design, and integration that impact OEM machine performance, optimization, and quality

* Responsible for managing customer requirements by understanding customer needs on both current and future programs and identifying suitable air handling architectures.

* Documenting and closing gaps i.e. customer requirements vs CTT committed deliverables during the product development process

* Responsible for managing customer communication and providing insight to the customer point of view when discussing how to respond to customer inquiries

* Delivering customer presentations that communicate a clear and compelling story

* Aligning messages with CTT across various stakeholders and having the ability to lead product development and problem-solving activities within VPI and current product.

* Having an ability to work in a demanding environment with a customer who likes to engage in constructive conflict

 

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical degree

* 5+ years of senior or lead engineer work experience

* Value Package Introduction (VPI) experience and knowledge

* Excellent communication skills

* Good understanding of engine air handling system

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
