The Position

As the JTT Project Manager you will be the lead for the DoD’s joint targeting program of record delivering product releases to over 4000 USAF, Joint and coalition agency warplanners.  You will direct the development efforts of four operational software systems. Along with helping to modernize the JTT-CP product to work alongside modernized Block 20 AOC products, you’ll also be responsible for continuing the development, integration and sustainment of the global software intelligence capabilities of users of JTT-CP and work with the major command to ensure we are answering war fighter demand.

What You Will Do

  • Lead all JTT program operations, fielding, technical development, test and logistics activities that ensure critical program success for the joint targeting community
  • Lead all key technical efforts in order to decouple JTT from the Global Command and Control System-Joint to allow for independent fielding of JTT
  • Orchestrate all IT and technical actions to ensure that JTT CP is interoperable with modernized AOC applications and are fully integrated with Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB) and any future Databases (DBs) providing critical intelligence data
  • Guide the prioritization of requirements and targeting for end user needs, based on stakeholder and vendor feedback to capture combatant commands (CCMDs) optimal targeting capabilities and enhancements for their service components
  • Brief, generate reports and provide status to joint targeting and General/Flag level officer forums and conferences to keep the enterprise apprised of the latest JTT-CP efforts
  • Manage JTT-CP Integrated Product Team efforts, ensuring all programmatic, contracting, finance, and acquisition strategy actions are being executed on time

  • You have experience with both lean startup principles and agile software project management
  • You have experience managing acquisition and contracting strategies
  • You have experience managing progress and assessing progress of contractors
  • You work closely and communicate with cross-functional teams
  • You love to facilitate meetings and ensure the expected outcome is met
  • You are able to break down complex problems into small measurable parts
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to the audience
  • You are a change agent that inspires a project team to achieve “creative compliance” within the DoD Acquisition Process
  • You have a growth mindset and love working in a fast-paced agile environment
  • You are a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

This is a Federal civilian service position within the United States Air Force. We are hiring at the equivalent of a GS-12 up to GS-13 level for this position. This means you can expect a base salary of $66,829 to $103,309 multiplied by your locality rate, based on your experience. You can find your locality definition here and see the pay tables for the GS scale here. Our headquarters is located in Boston, MA; for a Boston-based employee, this would translate to a range from $86,283 to $133,382.
