Job Summary

This position will be within Clark County’s Information Technology Department.  This role manages critical, highly complex, cross functional, medium to large-scale projects. They will focus mainly on technology implementations of software or IT infrastructure projects. Assigned projects range in duration from under 12 months to multi-year efforts. We currently have projects at any stage in the project management lifecycle from concept to execution. The successful candidate will be accountable for all aspects of projects through the full project lifecycle, including project closeout.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, public administration, business management, project management or closely related field. *
• Five years’ experience successfully managing a range of medium to large projects with increasing complexity, for example:
• Experience tracking and reporting project statuses including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Four years’ experience facilitating teams through complex and challenging topics.
• Experience managing interpersonal relations internally and externally to the program.
• Experience in agile software application development process.
• Experience with high-level systems planning, design, development, testing, installation, evaluation, operational management, and troubleshooting for information technology projects.
• Experience communicating technology or project management topics in business terms.
• Experience managing vendor engagements to efficiently manage deliverables.

*Additional relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Intermediate to expert level experience with MS Office applications including Project, Visio, Smartsheet, Excel, and PowerPoint

A valid motor vehicle operator’s license may be required depending on the job functions.

Salary Grade: IT Guild.T5 $8,300.00 – $10,890.00- per month
