Full-Time Internship & Partnership Coordinator

Job Description


This is a full time, hybrid position based out of our New York City office location. It is expected that some duties will be performed on-site, and some remotely, with the understanding that government and public health guidelines will determine the extent to which it is safe to carry out in-person and onsite activities. Monday-Friday, able to work some Saturdays and evenings as dictated by programming needs.

About College Scholars

SEO Scholars is a free eight-year academic program that gets low-income public high school students to and through college. In college, we continue to support students through each of their four years, providing one-on-one academic, personal and career exploration support. Position Overview & Responsibilities

The Internships & Partnerships (IP) Coordinator supports the SEO College Scholars team by maintaining the communications, systems and processes that support Scholars in career exploration and strengthen their likelihood of securing meaningful career readiness internships and opportunities. A successful IP Coordinator will approach their tasks with confidence and curiosity, think ahead to anticipate needs, and manage multiple tasks and projects with strong organizational skills, professionalism, and resourcefulness.

  • Responsible for collecting partner interest inquiries and communicating external company needs and intern qualifications
  • Run candidate eligibility reports and collect student application materials Ensure that all application materials are completed, reviewed by Career Readiness Specialists, and recorded in Salesforce
  • Enter company contact information, call logs, and application data in Salesforce; audit and edit Scholar secured internship records
  • Coordinate special projects; help identify, propose, and support other projects that advance and support the College Scholars Career Readiness Team’s strategic and operating objectives
  • Leverage Salesforce systems, as necessary, to aid in the delivery and reporting of career support services
  • Research and compile internship and job opportunities, and disseminate to Scholars in monthly newsletter
  • Design and create flyers for Career Readiness events, track student RSVPs for career readiness workshops and events, design surveys, and other data collection in a timely and accurate manner
  • Support team members in coordinating various networking opportunities for Scholars to connect with professionals in their prospective career fields; collect and process professional volunteer information and maintain professional volunteer network database
  • Serve as technical support for annual events
  • Contribute to a safe educational and working environment by participating in all training
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, and 1+ years of professional experience (internships apply)
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks while able to meet competing deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills: verbal, written, interpersonal (phone and in-person)
  • Meticulous attention to detail. Must be skilled at managing time and resources
  • Flexible and adaptable in a team environment
  • Ability to manage workflows independently
  • Maturity and self-motivation to perform most responsibilities with minimum supervision
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students exposed to during data entry and analysis
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be data driven, technically fluent in MS Office and GSuite, and database management; direct experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM strongly preferred
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required, dependent on program needs

Core Competencies and Skills

  • Demonstrates unequivocal passion for closing the achievement and opportunity gap
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a group, is team-oriented, and willing to do what it takes to get the work done (whether it is their specifically assigned task or not)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook), experience using Database/CMS program (e.g. Salesforce; a familiarity with programs such as Constant Contact and Survey Monkey are a plus.
