Full-Time Instructor Talent Manager

Job Description

SoulCycle is seeking an Instructor Talent Manager who will contribute to the company’s continued success by strategically casting instructors within the studio business in a given geographic region and providing them representation in all areas including but not limited to career development, personal brand presence and extension, community building and overall professional growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the SoulCycle culture and s/he will be personable and efficient in a fast-paced, dynamic, high growth environment.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Talent Management. The responsibilities and duties of this position described here are representative of those an employee must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Constantly analyze instructors’ performance and identify opportunities to grow the business via optimized scheduling and casting
  • Advocate for SoulCycle instructors internally to represent instructor interests, as it pertains to career growth and trajectory
  • Maintain knowledge of instructor performance through extensive performance analysis
  • Deliver feedback to instructors in alignment with customer service, field operations and survey insights
  • Identify trainings and resources needed to provide class quality assurance in collaboration with the Instructor Development Team
  • Create master schedule in collaboration with the corresponding District Manager to drive revenue
  • Build and engage the SOUL instructor community in your region
  • Act as the Talent Liaison with the internal Digital, PR, Marketing, Social Media, Creative and Retail Departments to:
    • Strategically expose instructors across multiple platforms
    • Assist with selection on instructor participation in all projects
    • Increase instructor exposure in alignment with business demand
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all existing and new instructors in your region by:
    • Taking class on a daily basis
    • Checking in with instructors on a regular basis
    • Seeking feedback from instructors on a regular basis
    • Attending, promoting, and helping to execute special event rides with PR as needed
  • Bridges the gap in the field between instructors, field operations, and HQ
    • Identifies areas of opportunity to strengthen studio operator/instructor bonds and alignment, and takes action to help create team mentality at each studio in region
      • Develops relationships with all studio and area management teams
      • Develops relationships with all instructors within region

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have 3-5+ years of experience managing talent
  • Must have a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to handle a high volume of email and phone calls while utilizing discretion
  • Must be an excellent listener with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, must be able to multitask
  • Must be extremely organized and have strong attention to detail with the ability to execute quickly and effectively
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and non-traditional hours; including extensive travel and field work
  • Must be a self-starter/self-motivated
  • Must be a team player with proven track record of having built successful relationships across multiple teams/departments
