JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION

Documents business requirements and translates them into solutions for the information technology organization. Serves as a liaison between the client and the information technology organization from project inception through implementation in order to provide customer-centric solutions that solve business needs.

GENERAL DUTIES & ; RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes operations to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
  • Serves as a liaison between the mortgage and home equity servicing community and the application development organization in order to define business solutions and collaborate with development to define the technical solutions to meet user and business needs.
  • Serves as an integral participant in the business process redesign and documentation for new or changing technology.
  • Formulates, defines and provides cost estimates for the business process redesign.
  • Provides documentation for new technology or changes to existing technology to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Researches business strategies and provide recommendations on best practices and changes in technology for mortgage and home equity servicing solutions.
  • Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business and information technology from initial requirements to final implementation.
  • Creates project artifacts as needed and conducts a variety of test cases to confirm the solution will meet the expectations of clients and stakeholders.
  • Educates internal clients and the information technology organization on enhanced functionality and provides support as needed.
  • Conducts data mapping and analysis, translating regulatory requirements into the Black Knight Financial Services system.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Analyzes business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the information technology organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user and business needs for Paragon installation/conversion projects.
  • Serves as an integral participant in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
  • Formulates, defines and provides costing for the business process redesign and documentation for new technology or changes to existing technology to meet technical requirements.
  • Develops, defines and executes project plans, project scope, and activities schedules.
  • Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
  • Researches business strategies and provide recommendations on best practices and changes in technology.
  • Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and information technology from initial requirements to final implementation.
  • Writes test plans and conducts a variety of test cases to confirm the outcomes of the requirement changes meet the expectations of the business partners and clients.
  • Educates the information technology organization on the direction of the business.
  • Provides training to the business partners and clients on changes to the technology.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • May require 10% travel

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in using, supporting, trouble-shooting and/or designing Multiple Listing Service and accompanying software in the Real Estate Industry.
  • Experience working in a cross functional team environment, including interacting with Application Development, Quality Assurance, Support, Training and Marketing Teams

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior Real Estate or MLS experience highly preferred
  • Functional knowledge in the following area(s) may be required:
  • Customer Service
  • Project Management

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of BKFS’s products and services as well as an understanding of the technology organization’s systems and capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical and non-technical information to any audience
  • Knowledge of systems development life cycles such as Waterfall, Prototyping, Iterative, etc.
  • Ability to design solutions and technical requirements to through leveraging the appropriate tools and techniques
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to research ideas and present outcomes in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to influence others to take the most appropriate path through understanding
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to business partners and clients to ensure project success and client satisfaction
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to be detailed and results-oriented with solid multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work flexible and extended hours as required

Business Systems Analyst II

Intermediate professional level role. Possesses an understanding of business functions they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities and uses this knowledge to create solutions to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge. Possesses

knowledge of the principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodology. With limited mentoring support, works as a liaison between IT and our clients and stakeholders in order to provide technical/business solutions to meet user needs. Supports several moderately complex business processes and has ability to adapt to changing priorities. Creates business/technical process designs and documentation as needed for new technology and estimates time and duration of required changes. Translates simple to intermediate high- level business/technical requirements into functional specifications for the IT organizat ion and works with development to test and implement those changes. Completes project work within the established time frame, budget and quality requirements. Communicates effectively and timely with clients and stakeholders and brings attention to any issues that are of concern or pose a risk to the project deliverables or overall timeline. Demonstrates an informed knowledge of a business area to resolve problems. Works on multiple projects as a project team member, and occasionally as a project team leader. May mentor entry-level analysts on processes or business/technical functions. Typically requires four (4) years of relevant work experience.
