Job Description:

  • Client is launching the Enterprise Work Center (EWOC) system that will be fully implemented across the organization by the end of fourth quarter of 2022.
  • Enterprise Learning and Development must hire 1-2 highly skilled and experienced Instructional Designers to conduct a rapid needs analysis and job task analysis to identify specific training needs and design and develop learning solutions necessary to educate our internal staff (in various departments) and new hires on the new EWOC system and related role specific workflow processes.
  • Without supervision, the candidate must conduct and complete the analysis, design, and development of learning solutions for supported business units under the Client/GuideWell enterprise.
  • Must be able to analyze, design, and develop highly complex multi-component interactive learning solutions.
  • Collaborates with Instructional Design Manager, Project Manager, and business stakeholders, defines and designs effective instructional strategies and learner assessments for high complexity multi-component learning solutions and curriculums.
  • Able to complete work independently throughout the applicable development stage of the instructional design model being adopted.
  • Understands the features and capabilities of various virtual delivery modalities for the design and development of instructionally sound Virtual Instructor Led Training.
  • Leverage established instructional design methodologies and processes to support formal, informal, and multi-media design that include industry best practice recommendations which take into account design, scope, budget, implementation timeline and technology platforms.
  • Able to complete work independently including the communication, implementation and adoption of methodologies and best practices by the learning organization.
  • Facilitates learning intervention through analysis of new or changed user tasks, through investigation of business processes, responsibilities, etc. due to new product/program/process releases, upgrades or updates.
  • Conduct task/impact analysis using standard department techniques i.e. surveys, focus groups, interviews, etc. and provide performance improvement recommendations to learning management/leadership.
  • Independently perform the above for highly complex performance improvement projects.
  • Leads the design and development of knowledge and skill-based assessments (written and simulated) that align with learning knowledge and performance-based objectives.
  • Develop instructionally sound knowledge, skills, and job performance-based assessments with minimal guidance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Professional Certification in Instructional Systems Design or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of directly related experience in Instructional Systems Design. Ability to independently conduct a training needs analysis and job task analysis, and design and develop instructionally sound blended formal and informal learning solutions
  • Ability to independently design and develop instructionally sound blended formal and informal learning solutions specifically related to Virtual Instructor-led Training
  • Experience using the ADDIE or SAM instructional design methodologies required
  • Ability to design technical education materials for a variety of audiences, understanding and applying adult learning principles
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to work closely and communicate with engineers to take complex technical concepts and translate them to layman terms for a non-expert to understand
  • Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise text
  • Experience developing technical or application training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to apply professional and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to consistently adhere to multiple deadlines and frequently changing workload
  • Proficient with eLearning content authoring tools, particularly Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise
  • Client or Health Care experience is a plus
