Full-Time Human Resources Coordinator

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is a key role within the HR department. They correspond with the public, applicants, candidates, staff, and management to answer questions about hiring procedures, benefits, and other agency policies. This position leads and coordinates the efficient processing of job posting and on/off-boarding procedures. The Coordinator ensures positive employee relations through proactive problem solving, with a focus on customer service, and on-going process improvement. They organize and schedule HR functions such as orientations and trainings. They provide oversight regarding recordkeeping, filing, and distributions. The Coordinator liaises with payroll, IT, and other departments to ensure quality, timely, and accurate processing.

**Effective 12/2021, all new hires to Compass are required as a pre-condition of employment to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to their start date.

LOCATION: South Lake Union Neighborhood (Seattle, WA)

**This position offers a location hybrid model with at-home and in-office days.

REPORTS TO: Senior HR Business Partner


SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

SALARY RANGE: $23-$28.50 per hour DOE


  • Work experience is a key factor for success in this role. In addition, success in this role requires a passion for knowledge and drive for continuing professional development or education. A degree or certification in business administration, human resources or related field would be a compliment to the required experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an administrative support role, with emphasis on quality customer service, required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in general HR, support services, and/or recruiting, desired.
  • 1-2-years of data entry experience, ideally with proficiency and accuracy concerning high volumes of data, desired.
  • Experience working in databases (HRIS and/or ATS) such as Oracle Taleo, Abila MIP, and DayForce, desired.
  • Awareness and/or training around issues of equity, intersectionality, and belonging.
  • Familiarity with topics of housing instability, mental health, poverty, substance use, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence, desired.
  • Valid WA driver’s license, proof of car insurance, and a driving record that meets Compass standards, desired.
