Primary Purpose:

Serve as primary contact for strategic and customized Human Resources (HR) solutions, and day-to-day delivery of services. Provide guidance, counsel and policy interpretation on Human Resources issues to leaders and employees. Work collaboratively with other areas of HR to assess needs and deliver integrated services, while mitigating risks. Leverage HR data to monitor and identify trends and issues requiring action or awareness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consult and partner with leadership to develop and deliver customized and innovative solutions to support business needs. Provide counsel and guidance to clients on strategies for performance management, salary and compensation solutions, and rewards and recognition. Develop and manage strategies to mitigate risks related to employee relations issues, conflict resolution, coaching, and terminations.
  • Function as technical expert and consultant to clients on Human Resources (HR) issues such as employee relations, performance management, workforce consultation, organization support, compensation administration, and dispute resolution. Provide policy and regulatory interpretation and guidance. Utilize data to proactively identify areas of focus.
  • Provide guidance for workforce management/planning, job profile development and organizational structure.
  • Partner with other HR areas to deliver integrated HR services.
  • Perform project management duties for HR issues and initiatives such as program implementations, reorganizations, and audits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business, Human Resources (HR), related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • 5 years – HR experience across multiple disciplines at the professional level and experience with HR systems.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment/human resources law and regulations. Progressive broad human resources experience required. Must keep abreast of developing trends, and changes to laws and regulations.
  • Consultative, interpersonal and oral and written communications skills required; must be able to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and personalities.
  • Must be proficient at managing multiple priorities and accomplishing simultaneous demands in a high-pressure environment. Must be adaptable and flexible to accommodate changes in priorities.
  • Ability to partner with individuals from all levels of the organization to constructively resolve differences and develop solutions to HR-related issues. Must be effective at promoting collaborative, cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong database and spreadsheet software/Excel skills, MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS. Ability to review, interpret, and leverage data.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and applicant information.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
  • We offer a hybrid work environment. Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office two to three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree- Graduate degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Professional Human Resources (HR) certification desired, such as PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.

Work Schedule
HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 2-3 days per week.
