Job Description
- Post our vacant positions.
- Serve as our backup HR management system (FIORI) actions approver and HR professional in qualification and salary administration.
- Review job applications to determine applicant qualification status.
- Review hiring packages to ensure compliance with merit-based hiring practices.
- Review salary recommendations to ensure compliance with salary administration policies.
- Engage with Division 11 staff in interpreting and applying personnel and NCDOT HR policies to address issues regarding hiring packages, actions, and HR-related issues.
- Conduct new hire orientations for the Division.
- Perform other HR duties.
- Experience and technical skills to independently and accurately process, retrieve, or reference personnel data from database systems, such as SAP/Fiori.
- Experience interpreting and applying federal/state laws relating to Human Resources.
- Customer service experience through email and phone.
- Experience exercising judgment and discretion in the application and interpretation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, such as NEOGOV.
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, or relevant field, and
- 1+ years experience; or
- 2+ years of HR experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
