POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily activities of the Human Resource function, corporate recruiting, employee relations, interpretation of policies, provide management coaching/counseling, and operational efficiencies. This position reports to the Director of Corporate Human Resources.  While this role will focus on detailed oriented work, candidates must also be comfortable in an office setting and enjoy interacting with employees and supporting the HR role in a positive, collaborative environment. We are looking for a strong Human Resources Generalist to handle employee relations, Talent Acquisition and other HR related needs in a positive, collaborative in office setting. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Recruits for all Corporate and Leadership Level Office Positions.

· Reviews company employment policies and procedures and assists in revising, developing and implementing policy and practices to ensure regulatory compliance and support business goals and strategies. Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.

· Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of Human Resource services performed.

· Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

· Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Seeks legal assistance with oversight from corporate Human Resources as needed/required

· Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention

· Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for all corporate divisions

· Leads special and cross-functional project teams. Present training sessions related to assigned program or section area

· Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business financial position, its strategic plans, its culture and its competition.

· Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)

· Conduct periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

· Assists in developing and maintaining affirmative action program; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

· Analyze organizational trends and metrics in partnership with Human Resources group to develop human capital solutions, programs and policies.

· Acting member of the HR Service Center Team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· At least five years’ progressive experience in a Human Resources environment.

· PHR preferred.

· Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.

· Prior experience with an HRMS database.

· Strong computer (Microsoft Office), social media and internet skills.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills including writing policies, and making group presentations.

· Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize work activities.

· Ability to handle difficult situations professionally and in a non-confrontational manner.

· Ability to use critical thinking skills to problem-solve using sound and accurate judgment.

· Integrity and the ability to handle confidential information.

· Prior experience in full cycle recruitment
