Job Description

Head of MIS 

£51,655 – £57,006 per annum – subject to pay award 01/08/2022 

37 hours per week 

The working pattern is 7.5 hours per day Monday – Thursday and 7 hours per day on Fridays 

52 weeks per annum 

Abingdon Campus 

Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic and proactive MIS professional to lead and inspire the MIS and Compliance team.  

This new post is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who is passionate about information, data, and the positive difference that it can make to the success of students and the commercial performance of the college business. Through this post, you will contribute to the transformational cultural change across the college and play a significant role as part of the college leadership management team. 

Working closely with the Vice Principal Funding, Planning and Systems Improvement, this post will be responsible for and / or contribute to: 

  • All aspect of funding, ILR and data compliance 
  • The development of a college culture that embraces information as a positive tool for business improvements 
  • The college-wide systems innovation, business improvement and efficiency strategy 
  • The college curriculum planning, ensuring that our plans are responsive to the needs of stakeholders and contribute to robust business performance 

The role is part of the college leadership management team and will contribute to a cultural change across the college. This new post is therefore a very exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference to the college business, who is commercially astute, data-driven and customer focussed, all in the interests of student success and staff well-being. 

You will be able to successfully manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, whilst being able to motivate and enthuse your team to achieve their targets. You will be based in Abingdon but need to travel to other campuses as and when required.
