Reporting to the U.S. Head of IT, the Head of IT US Market Access & Pricing Solutions (MAP) leads the U.S. IT MAP team and owns the vision, strategy and execution of the technology systems that support the UCB Market Access & Pricing teams for U.S. Operations, ensuring scalability of systems, processes, and talent for the U.S. market. This role is a member of the IT U.S. leadership team.

•    Plan and drive technology solutions that deliver Commercial business outcomes in the Market Access & Pricing domains
•    Develop team of employees and/or contractors to achieve objectives, professional development and project execution excellence
•    Serve as the IT SME for US Market Access & Pricing domains throughout the global organization
•    Work with IT leadership and Finance on budget (CAPEX/OPEX)
•    Lead evaluation, selection, and management for Market Access & Pricing, working with the IT Vendor Management team for assigned services and projects.

•    Shape demand and requirements; challenge where appropriate.
•    Build collaborative relationships with business partners and external vendors to deliver on company and departmental strategies and initiatives
•    Drive decisions and influence team members and business partners, within span of control
•    Maintain commercially aligned technology roadmaps
•    Working with key commercial stakeholders develop business cases for large technology initiatives
•    Ability to challenge status quo and develop innovative solutions to business challenge
•    Manage local and global projects based on business requirements in line with the IT Project Management Framework
•    Maintain awareness of industry trends, identify opportunities for business process and technology improvements and value creation
•    Design and implement best-in-class technical and/or operational support frameworks leveraging internal resources and third parties
Interested? For this position, you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

•    7+ years of experience in application systems acquisition and implementation. Full systems life cycle management and deployment experience required.
•    5+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
•    Vendor selection and management skills/knowledge required
•    Experience in the support of computerized System Validation, part 11 compliance, SOX compliance
•    Experience with technology systems to support Market Access and Pricing functions (Pricing Analysis, Gross-to-Net, Chargebacks, Contract management, rebates, incentives, Data Analytics, CRM etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Strong understanding of HIPAA requirements (Data Security, Encryption, storage, handling, etc) and associated system impacts.
•    Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines is required.
•    Strong problem-solving ability and critical thinking skills
•    Thorough understanding of project management methodology and system development lifecycle principles, validation & qualification
•    Vendor selection and management skills/knowledge
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Able to work across functional and regional boundaries to deliver projects on time and on budget
•    Ability to make effective presentations to diverse groups and facilitate brainstorming sessions
