Full-Time Grants Coordinator/Management Analyst

Job Description

This position is responsible for the planning, implementing, and monitoring of various projects and grants. This includes grant writing, grant administration, financial planning, record-keeping, and reporting activities for grants in the Community Development Department including, but not limited to, local, state, and federal grants. Responsibilities may also include strategic initiatives and department-wide project management, and project analysis.


Grant Submission and Administration: Submit and administer Federal, State and Local grants to fund projects.
Project Management: Plan, implement and monitor projects that will grow affordable housing and spur redevelopment that will retain or create new jobs.
Marketing and Communications: Market grant and loan programs to the general public.
Additional Management Analyst Duties: If hired as a Management Analyst, you can also expect to assist with strategic initiatives and manage department-wide projects.


As a Grants Coordinator:
Education and Experience: Associate’s Degree in Business, Planning, Public Administration, Marketing, Project Management, or a closely related field (Bachelor’s Degree is preferred) and 3+ years of professional experience administering grants and managing projects.
Knowledge and Skills: Bring knowledge of supporting business growth and moving city initiatives forward. Provide knowledge of local, state and federal grant programs.

As a Management Analyst:
Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a closely related field, and 2+ years of professional public administration experience.
Knowledge and Skills: Bring fresh perspective to the organization regarding public administration and public policy, and offer unique outside perspectives and experiences to the organization. Serve a substantive role in coordinating, facilitating and managing priority projects that require the involvement of multiple divisions and departments within the City. Provide enthusiasm and focused energy to important high priority projects.


Office machines and equipment such as personal computers, printers, telephone, fax machine, calculator, copier and MS Office Suite software.
