Full-Time Global Finance and Operations Associate

Job Description

The Global finance and Operations Associate will report to the Finance department and provide high level financial and operational support to our global expansion. They will provide support through organizational resources, and by cross teaming with all areas, including global publishing development, legal, finance, and payroll. They will ensure regulatory reporting and global taxes are processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. They are also tasked with analyzing organizational effectiveness, supporting the finance function, identifying resource issues, and preparing reports and recommendations to improve operations efficiency. Role currently reports to the CFO.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial accounting, analysis and review of global operations and institutional business partners
  • Providing information and support for the preparation of financial reports and budgets globally working with the Manager, FP&A.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to improve operations efficiency within the finance area.
  • Provide coordination and input to ensure that ongoing financial, regulatory, and legal best practices are met and that they support ongoing administrative operations.
  • Ownership for ensuring completion of operational and administrative tasks associated with global entities outside of the US and the UK, working primarily with finance and legal
  • Assist with coordination between Global Publishing Development and internal and external partners.
  • Assist Global Publishing Development team to develop policies and procedures in collaboration for operational processes to ensure optimization and compliance with established standards and regulations
  • Analysing issues and initiatives that affect the progress of the organization, and preparing associated reports, correspondence, and suggested improvements
  • Responsible for handling multiple projects requiring effective interaction and coordination with other project team members and internal company departments as well as external parties. Identify, prioritize, and mitigate project risks.
  • Conducts regular reviews on ensuring compliance with objectives and regulations within fiancé and accounting and takes necessary corrective action to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Participate in cross functional teams, acting as the liaison to those assigned project teams for finance, legal, accounting and payroll as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, Business Economics or related field required.
  • Experience creating and analysing complex financial reports
  • Experience creating ROI and KPI’s
  • Experience with internal and external customer service
  • Experience working successfully in cross functional teams
  • Competency in cultural relations in international business
  • Experience working with over 4 international countries
  • Experience working with government regulatory issues in at least 3 countries
  • Deep knowledge and experience with global business required
