General Supervisor, Production (Faucets)

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Under the direction of Manager – Materials & Supply Chain, WFO, employ a program of continuous process improvement designed to achieve division goals and objectives, and improve the competitive position of the organization. Responsible for maintaining, developing, and improving warehousing, inventory control, and material flow processes through the implementation of new and/or improved systems and processes.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support department goals in line with business objectives of all areas of the business
  • Supervise less experienced staff to ensure all tasks/projects are completed on schedule
  • Review and approve the designs of all warehousing, inventory accuracy, and material flow processes before implementation
  • Develop and implement installation, de-bugging, and verification of all processes in WIP
  • Ensure all processes are competitive, reliable, and cost effective
  • Provide proper training of staff to maintain high levels of competency
  • Investigate, acquire, and employ new and improved methods, which enhance quality, productivity, and competitiveness
  • Establish and maintain operating procedures and standards for the department.
  • Conduct or supervise the acquisition of major capital equipment or facilities improvements from investigating project merits, justification, writing ACT’s, coordinating equipment installation, to equipment runoff
  • Drive corrective actions to identified inventory inaccuracy root causes
  • Maintain process governance documentation and conduct process audits
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement events to identify opportunities for improvements in time, cost, flow, and accuracy
  • Participate in the design and maintenance of inventory accuracy methods, plan for every part (PFEP) and technology internally with other businesses and IT
  • Participate in safety training and accident prevention
  • Perform other assignments as directed by Manager

Skills/Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or management
  • Five or more years of engineering or supply chain experience preferably logistics, warehousing, or inventory control
  • Past results should include successful technical and project leadership with displayed results in leading others
