Do you like maintaining a clean and pleasing appearance at your place of work? Are you a hands-on individual? The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties are looking for an individual who enjoys working in an energetic environment, and who is willing to learn and grow their skill sets.

As Custodian you will work with our facilities team, for our members, to perform the necessary functions and activities required to keep the facility clean inside and outside such as upkeep of the building, operating cleaning equipment, and following all safety protocols.

  • You are able to learn and practice the safe and correct operation of the equipment assigned to perform the required tasks.
  • You are able to learn and practice the correct procedures and techniques used in cleaning the facility.
  • You are able to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • You are able to report and record maintenance requests.
  • You have knowledge of cleaning methods and custodial, maintenance, and office equipment.
  • You have a basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.
  • Able and willing to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online or in-person training as required.

Starting Wage: $14.49+ per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours: Full-Time, Up to 40 hours per week
