Primary Purpose:

Responsible for developing and implementing processes to ensure client data is in the system. Manages team resources, workflow and oversees the developmental needs of a team of colleagues in support of business goals; assigns project responsibilities to individuals, supports daily activities and facilitates workflow; oversees applications of standards and methodologies to ensure consistency.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides Fleet application, database, and technical support to Fleet office staff and technicians through the proactive management of Fleet systems including troubleshooting, patching, upgrading, and replacement of Fleet technology systems.
  • Supervises direct reports, mentors and coaches employees on proper data management practices and procedures, data systems architecture and structure, and technical support. Ensures proper coordination of work group activities with the rest of the Fleet organization.
  • Oversees the continuous improvement program using technology, processes improvements/changes, and measure results of such programs through efficiency/productivity gains, cost reductions, improved quality and client satisfaction. Acts as change agent for process improvement initiatives.
  • Oversees data governance and adherence to governance policies to ensure data integrity. Manages relationships within Fleet to align data governance policies throughout the organization. Leads data quality efforts and coordinate root-cause and corrective action initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent proven work history is required.
  • 5 years – experience working with large data sets and databases, SQL, PowerBI, business intelligence, KPI/metrics reporting, data governance, documenting requirements, implementing solutions and leading technical teams.
  • Experience with business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills are required.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills and the ability to self-manage across multiple concurrent areas of responsibility; proven ability to exercise sound judgment and take initiative.
  • Demonstrated success working in complex, matrixed environments to build and maintain positive relationships and accomplish goals; ability to lead through influence.
  • Understanding of change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement is required.
  • Knowledge of industry leading data quality, data protection management, and data governance practices; familiarity with CPUC regulated environment is desired.
  • Familiarity with fleet vehicles and configuration of data systems desired.
