CARRIER is looking for Accounting, Finance, and Business majors with demonstrated leadership ability and strong academic performance to join our Finance Leadership Program! The Financial Leadership Program (FLP) is an entry-level, two-year rotational program that exposes recent college graduates to CARRIER business divisions. The Financial Leadership Program can give you an opportunity to join one of the largest companies in the world with market leading products that are everywhere on earth. The FLP builds upon formal education with amazing experiences in a culture that values ethics, the environment and financial performance. FLP associates not only build solid analytical and communication skills, but they also acquire a greater appreciation for teamwork and leadership. During the two-year program, each associate completes three, eight-month assignments throughout various functional areas in finance and can gain exposure to many of Carrier’s business divisions. The FLP recruits highly motivated college graduates who demonstrate leadership ability and academic excellence and prepares them for a successful career within CARRIER. Potential participants must be proven team players, who possess excellent technical competence, initiative, and demonstrate enthusiasm for learning.

Position Description

During the candidate’s time in the program other rotational assignments are available in accounting and finance departments throughout Fire & Security Products, Refrigeration, HVAC and CARRIER Corporate Headquarters. Our commitment to you is to provide front-line, hands-on, meaningful assignments designed to stretch your capabilities and improve your learning. Each associate will have the opportunity to experience different functional rotations which may include: Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Operations, and General Finance such as Internal Audit or Strategy & Development. Rotations are primarily located in Florida, Palm Beach Gardens with opportunities outside of Florida in North Carolina, Indiana, Georgia and several other domestic locations. The program provides training and a continuing educational focus to supplement the rotational experience, through seminars and various case studies. The FLP associate will also receive mentoring and guidance from CARRIER executives and FLP alumni. In addition to training provided within the program, associates are eligible to take the GMAT, CPA, and CFA exams with reimbursement provided. CARRIER Employees are eligible to participate in CARRIER’s Employee Scholar Program. This program allows employees to pursue any type of career enhancing college or graduate degree with 100% coverage for tuition, books and fees.


The recruitment cycle for the CARRIER Financial Leadership Program runs through the fall of 2020. Please note: The next Cohort of associates will start in June 2021.

Selection for the CARRIER Financial Leadership Program will be based on the following minimum criteria:

  • Applicant must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or other business concentrations
  • Strong academic performance, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, with 3.2 or higher preferred (at time of application)
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills – Leadership in extracurricular organizations
  • Relevant internships or co-op experiences within Finance/Accounting function
  • Less than one year of professional work experience
  • This is a rotational program that requires you to rotate assignments/locations 3 times over the course of 2 years


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, and other business disciplines. Also accepting candidates with graduate degrees who also hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other business concentration.
  • The FLP is an entry level program and target applicants with less than one year of professional work experience.
