Job Description

Premier Talent Partners is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor to join our client’s Mental Health Care company in Dinuba, CA. Responsibilities:

  • Develop an administrative plan and create procedures to define lines of responsibility, workloads, and staff supervision
  • Provide leadership, while working to develop and retain highly competent staff through selection, compensation, training, and management practices, which support the facility’s mission and values
  • Ability to terminate the employment of staff, if applicable to the facility
  • Approve the development of long-range goals
  • Coordinate the development of contracts with outside agencies
  • Review and approve reports for outside agencies
  • Represent the facility in administrative meetings and participates in the grievance process of staff members and residents as appropriate
  • Determine appropriate residents for placement in the facility
  • Oversee and develop all in-service training for staff
  • Hold fire/emergency drills and update the Emergency Disaster Plan as necessary
  • Monitor the development of job descriptions and to the orientation of all new staff members
  • Responsible for the safekeeping and distribution of the residents’ cash reserves
  • Work closely with the Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) from the DSS Community Care Licensing Division to ensure compliance with CCR Title 22
  • Keep tabs on communication with resident stakeholders including, but not limited to, Conservators, Case Managers, and family members while at the same time protecting the confidentiality of the resident
  • Supervise the development of and participate in the On-Call staffing schedule
  • Manage the work schedule for the residence to ensure seamless 24/7 staffing
  • Perform file and inventory management/assessment; routine ordering; special/emergency orders; maintenance issues, and receipt of shipments and paperwork processing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in clinical administration, medical science, psychology, or relevant field is a must; MS/MA is a plus
  • 2-5+ years of experience as a clinical director or other managerial position
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, resourcing, and performance evaluation procedures
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent knowledge of standards (e.g. ISO) and regulations for the clinical field
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Familiar with computer systems (e.g. patient management software)
