ABOUT CIC EVENTS
Events play a critical role in our community by providing entrepreneurs, innovators, and others with an outlet to collaborate and network with like-minded individuals.  A variety of events occur at CIC, such as sector-specific collaborations, programming meetups, pitching exercises, startup workshops, and thought-leadership panel discussions.

The types of events we support benefit entrepreneurs by giving them the tools, skills, and resources needed to flourish. CIC Philadelphia hosts client events and partners with Venture Cafe, Science Center, uCity Square, and BioLabs to curate collaborative experiences at 3675 Market Street.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
You will primarily work with the other members of the CIC Philly team, but will also frequently engage with other internal CIC teams across concierge, operations, and sales. This role includes both collaborative projects with the team, as well as independent work leading event coordination and niche projects. The position will be based out of CIC Philadelphia.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinating event details through the entire process, communicating with building management and security, updating the Certificate of Insurance for vendors, issuing quotes, invoices, tracking and collecting payments, ensuring all event details are clear to the CIC team and in line with CIC policies, acting as a resource to event hosts during the event, and managing event follow-up and evaluation.
• Designing events flyers, calendars, in print and digital collateral, and branding for events and programming.
• Developing annual events and engagement report
• Attending events as a CIC representative, including startup and entrepreneurial events and Venture Cafe.
• Collaborating consistently with Venture Cafe Philadelphia and the University City Science Center to help shape the bustling programing hosted at 3675 Market St.
• Collaborating with the Events Lead, concierge and sales teams on projects to improve event services and community engagement.
• Developing and using event data tracking systems similar to CRM, Tripleseat, or other tools that measure success and collect event experience feedback.
• Working with CIC Philadelphia’s operations team to put together engaging community events like paint nights, game nights, and more!

YOU HAVE
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 1-2 years of full-time professional experience with coordinating events (experience with professional event coordination, community organizing, the innovation ecosystem, or community building strongly preferred).
• Occasional availability on nights and weekends.
• A natural interest in helping/supporting others.
• An interest in a long-term role; we are a growing company, and we like to hire people who can grow with us.

• Starting compensation is $49,374 per year plus 100% of the cost of a premium healthcare and dental package.
