DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Embedded Software Engineer-Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Electronics and Fuel Systems Business Unit in Columbus, IN / your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Constructs embedded software using industry best practices and robust software engineering principles; verifies software updates to ensure quality products.
• Investigates embedded software problems, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution, and documents results.
• Applies and improves embedded software development processes and tools. Processes include model-based development, coding, compiling and test. Tools include Simulink, code editors, integration tools, static analysis tools, compilers and hardware in the loop test tools.
• Develop Unit Tests/functional test based on requirements for software components
• Create harnesses in Simulink Test and design functional test cases for the software component
• Perform MIL, SIL and HIL testing for application level software component(s)

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines
• 3-5+ years of prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
• Proficient in Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, Simulink Validation and Verification tools (Test, Check, Coverage, Design Verifier)
• Experience developing model-based components based on requirements

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
