Job Description

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a talented Electronics Systems Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Components Buisness Segment in Columbus, IN or Minneapolis-St Paul, MN.

 

This role is within Cummins Electronics supporting all Cummins products. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Conduct design reviews to release the product components and subsystems through formal developmental release codes with Chief Engineer approval

* Support internal customer meetings and issues.

* Work closely with the Technical Project leader (TPL) as a member of the product development team.

* Interact with other technical design leaders of the product development

* Provide weekly update on project status to various teams including the project technical team

* Lead weekly meeting with the development and implementation teams to review the delivery plan, scope and resources

* Lead team with Issue Resolution, investigate field incidents or detected defects with standard  processes

* Manage Risk – Architecture, Design implementation, Scope creep, Schedule, Resources

* Manage change requests during the development cycle.

* Develop & manage good technical requirements (verifiable, attainable, necessary) with traceability to source requirements in the in the product life cycle management system.

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.

* 5-7+ years of prior equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making

* Experience with Autosar SW architecture & SW development or similar experience

* Experience with product life cycle development tools such as PLM Integrity or similar experience

* Understanding of embedded SW for controls

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
