Full-Time Educational Technology Trainer

We’re looking for an Educational Technology Trainer to work remotely for Edpuzzle, a leading edtech company with offices in San Francisco and Barcelona. The right person will help us communicate with, train, and engage teachers and coaches within the TOP 500 school districts in the US! The Educational Technology Trainer role requires particular expertise in curriculum and technology integration. The goal of the Educational Technology Trainer is to focus on district projects assigned, develop training and support material, and coordinate and lead trainings for staff including teachers, tech coaches, and curriculum coordinators throughout the district.

Responsibilities

The Educational Technology Trainer works in conjunction with district leadership and various departments to ensure resource center specialist/teacher/student success. The trainer:

Provides direct instruction of standards-based lessons to specialists and educators.

Works with other specialists and to design training for new and continuing teachers in the use of technology integration available to support instruction.

Prepares lesson plans, training materials and tutorials for district supported programs.

Facilitates implementation of district wide technology projects.

Assists district level and building level specialists, teachers, administrators, and other staff as necessary to understand content area needs, innovations, strategies, etc.

Serves as a model by demonstrating lessons in the library resource center or classroom when appropriate.

Develops on-line learning opportunities and professional development activities for staff across the district.

Models direct, explicit systematic instruction including effective teaching techniques and strategies.

A typical week:

Seek out opportunities for face-to-face or remote training sessions with IT coaches, curriculum leaders or school administrators within the assigned districts.

Develop, coordinate, and customize training materials for each assigned district.

Coordinate and lead remote training sessions with elementary, middle, and high school teachers.

Coordinate and lead training sessions with district tech coaches and coordinators.

Coordinate and lead training sessions with district curriculum coordinators.

Attend and speak at conferences.

Maintain thorough internal communication with account executives.

Follow up on previous week’s trainings.

Seek out opportunities for face-to-face meetings with IT coaches, curriculum leaders or school administrators.

Lead professional development & training sessions for schools & districts.

Maintain strong pipeline management & log activities in the Salesforce CRM.

About remote positions:

Work remotely from the comfort of your own home or chosen workspace.

Receive guidance from your manager & ask all the questions you need.

Meet with your manager on a weekly basis to review status & brainstorm new projects to accomplish goals.

Set daily tasks with your manager initially, over time becoming more autonomous & proactive in proposing new ideas to reach goals.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years successful classroom teaching experience.

Minimum 3 years of successful experience presenting in conferences and leading school and district-wide professional development sessions.

Experience presenting about Edpuzzle.

Charismatic and simplicity-focused.

Organized and methodical.

Resourceful: know how to keep pressing forward and organizing events/webinars for teachers.

Persistence/Grit: you don’t give up until you get what you want.

Excellent communication skills: email, phone & face-to-face conversations.

Flexible & able to adapt to new strategies.

Self-motivated: you have the ability to stay on-task while working alone.

Strategic thinker: unafraid to use data to problem-solve, inform decisions & persuade.

Team-player: you look for ways to learn from & help your teammates.

Unintimidated by new technology & quick to pick up new skills.

Benefits
