Position Overview

Ignited is seeking an Education Programs Coordinator to support the organization in building and maintaining relationships with teachers, schools, and districts and support our mission to ensure all students have equal access to advanced science and tech careers. The ideal candidate will be energized by helping others; have strong organizational skills; possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing; and be interested in learning new skills.

This is a full-time, exempt $60,000-$70,000 position reporting to the Chief Education Officer. This position is remote eligible with infrequent requirements to report to locations in the Bay Area dependent on business needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Proactively build year-round relationships with teachers, schools, and districts to ensure strong participation in the organization’s programs and initiatives.
  • Serve as the point of contact for educators, from awareness building about programs and opportunities, to management of program registration, supporting teachers through multiple application phases and ensuring they are operationally prepared to take part in programs.
  • Design and implement basic marketing campaigns, including fliers, social media and newsletters, to inform educators about programs and opportunities.
  • Ensure appropriate program agreements and forms are signed, completed, and securely recorded.
  • Maintain systems for data collection and tracking for internal and external reporting, including developing basic spreadsheets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year experience in a role directly managing professional relationships and proactive external communications. Relevant experience could include customer service, sales, public relations or operations.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship and customer support skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • A passion for and understanding of the K-12 and/or community college school systems with a deep appreciation for the work of classroom teachers.
  • Experience creating visually appealing fliers, social media and/or newsletters is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word), Google Suite and video conferencing platforms. Excel skills are a plus. Willingness to learn new systems, including Ignited’s Teacher Application platform.
  • Ability to develop long-term plans, set objectives, and track progress toward achieving objectives.
  • Proactive team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Flexible work style that can handle last-minute requests calmly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends, as dictated by business need.

Ignited’s focus is to prioritize educational opportunities for people who have been historically underrepresented in STEM fields. Lived or work experiences related to those communities is preferable.

Position Term, Hours, Location and Salary

This position reports to the Chief Education Officer and is a full-time, exempt position eligible for remote or hybrid work based at the Ignited office within Agilent Technologies in Santa Clara, California. Residence in California is required. The ability to report to locations in the Bay Area once a month is preferable, as dictated by business needs. Weekly hours for this position are flexible, typically 9 to 5, with some weekend or evenings as dictated by business needs. Salary is $60,000-$70,000, based on qualifications and potential contributions to Ignited.
